I grew up in the small town of Parker, Colorado.  I have four siblings, mostly older with a younger sister.  Sarah is ten years younger.  My older siblings are Deon- two years older, Monte- six years older, and Michelle- nine years older. 

 

I was influenced by my older brother and sisters, but my younger sister looked to me to set an example.  I am the first of many generations in my family to get a college education, and proudly boast of my sister Sarah, to follow in my footsteps with a law degree.

 

I was ranked as a world-class athlete in cycling.  I contribute this to my stable family and good childhood.  My parents remained married until my mother was widowed when I was 17 years old.  Ten (10) years later I became a widower myself, losing my future wife and son at the age of 27.

 

In my lifelong journey to find a soulmate, I have faced the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.  I kissed many frogs in hopes to find my princess, but no one ever told me some of those frogs are really crocodiles in disguise.

  

I did not choose my birth, nor have I chosen my death, but I can make the most of the journey.  From birth to death, we make choices along the way, but everything else is out of our control.
